K-pop group NCT DoJaeJung holds first show in PH: 'Thank you Manila'

K-pop boy band [NCT DoJaeJung](https://mb.com.ph/2023/6/26/feed-your-seoul-nct-do-jae-jung-holds-first-media-conference-in-ph) performed their songs, played games and talked about their music at their fan con (fan meeting and concert) in Manila.  Composed of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo, the trio held their “Scented Symphony: Perfume Fancon in Manila” on June 24 at the SM Mall of Asia.  NCT DoJaeJung performing at the "Perfume" Fancon in Manila on June 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena (Ovation Productions  / Denise Vina / Kris Rocha)  NCT DoJaeJung debuted in April as a subunit of NCT, releasing their first album “Perfume,” which sold 724,360 copies and ranked fourth based on Korea's Hanteo Chart’s monthly physical album chart for April.  At the Fancon, NCT DoJaeJung opened their set with “Kiss,” a mid-tempo R&B track included in the “Perfume” album.  “Manila, it’s good to see you again,” Jaehyun greeted the crowd while Doyoung said, “It’s nice to see you again, Philippines.”  Jungwoo said, “I’m so happy and I’m excited to have fun with you guys.”  The three were in Manila in September last year when NCT 127, to which they also belong, held a concert.  “It’s always good to come back to Manila. The best time especially when we came back with  new music, with new performances, with new style. While they were not able to try any Filipino food when they arrived in Manila, Jungwoo said they were given recommendations such as “halo-halo” (shaved ice dessert), which is similar to Korea’s “bingsu,” while Doyoung mentioned lechon (roasted pig).  When they were asked about their recent activities, Jaehyun said, “We’ve all been busy.”  “For me, I’ve been to tons of time zones recently…and Doyoung too,” he added. Jaehyun attended the Prada collection event in Milan, Italy before their Manila fan con. Jungwoo said he went to the Bruno Mars concert in Korea.  When they learned that they were going to work together as NCT DoJaeJung, Jaehyun said, “I was like wondering what kind of music could we do. That was my first thought in mind.” “When I first heard the news that the three of us would be having a subunit, I was very excited and enjoyed thinking about what kind of combination or chemistry we can show to the fans,” said Jungwoo. 
As NCT DoJaejung, Doyoung said he hopes that they could hold a concert tour and Jaehyu said “more good music.”  As for goals, Jungwoo said he wants to meet NCTzens around the world through concerts.  In the TMI Talk segment, they answered questions sent by their fans. When asked what kind of concept they want to try next, Jungwoo and Doyoung said hip-hop and reggae. If he was given the chance to act, Jaehyun said he wants to play the role of a “couch director.”  They also played games including spotting the difference in their photos and “Guess the Lyrics with NCTzens.”  During the show, NCT DoJaeJung the five other songs in their debut album: "Perfume," "Dive," "Strawberry Sunday," "Can We Go Back" and "Ordinary."  “Thank you MANILA,” the trio posted on Twitter after the show.  The NCT DoJaeJung “Scented Symphony: Perfume Fancon in Manila” was made possible by Ovation Productions and presented by Viu Philippines.  '
