Jealous husband arrested for attempting to stab wife

CAVITE – A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to stab his wife in Dasmariñas City on Wednesday, June 28. Dasmariñas City Police Station (CPS) Chief Lt. Col. Socrates S. Jaca told the Manila Bulletin that jealousy was the motive behind the crime. Initial investigation showed that the suspect and the victim were in a store in Barangay Paliparan 3 when they had a disagreement. The suspect reportedly tried to harm his wife with a kitchen knife but missed. The store owner immediately sought help from barangay public safety officers who apprehended the suspect and turned him over to the police. The suspect is now under the custody of Dasmariñas CPS and is facing an attempted parricide charge. (MANILA BULLETIN)
