Couple yields P100,000 shabu in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY â€“ Fifteen grams of suspected shabu worth P100,000 were seized from a couple in a buy-bust operation at their rented house in Barangay 35 here on Thursday, June 29.

(Photo courtesy of Police Station 5) Police identified the subject as John Paul Claro, 27, of Barangay 29 here. His live-in partner was identified as Clarice Jose, 30, of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. Also confiscated by police from them were the P500 marked money and P150. Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 5, said that based on their information, the couple can allegedly dispose 200 grams of shabu per week. Puerto said they already have information about the source of the illegal drugs. However, he refused to provide more details, pending further investigation. He said that Claro will be charged for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, while Jose will be facing charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
