Clarita Carlos calls Ramon Ang 'a great visionary' in FB shout-out for SMC

Professor Clarita Carlos has described Filipino businessman Ramon S. Ang as a "great visionary" whose people over at San Miguel Corporation (SMC) know how to cherish friendships. Carlos, House Speaker Martin Romualdez's chief adviser, proved this during the recent celebration of her 77th birthday last June 24 when SMC gifted her with her favorite chocolates and coffee. "Thank you for remembering my favorites on my birthday!  Love you, guys!!" she wrote in a Facebook post. In the same post, Carlos recalled her time working with SMC, calling it "both challenging and very instructive to my research team". "Thank you, SMC under the helm of the great visionary, Ramon Ang, for engaging us scholars, in helping in your decision making," she said. "Truly, our theoretical groundings in the university were seriously tested on empirical grounds and there was tremendous learnings of all those involved," said the former national security adviser of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. "Even after we have finished our engagement, we continue the friendships therefrom," added the very appreciative Carlos. Ang is the president and chief executive officer of Top Frontier Investment Holdings, Inc., the largest shareholder of SMC.
