UP leads PH universities in the QS World University Rankings 2024
The University of the Philippines (UP) secured the top spot among the country’s leading higher educational institutions in the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings released on Wednesday, June 28.
Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), De La Salle University (DLSU), University of Santo Tomas (UST), and University of San Carlos (USC) joined UP on the list.
The QS World University Rankings 2024, published by London-based global higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds, saw UP move up to 404th place from 412th spot in the 2023 rankings.
AdMU came in at 563rd place, up from 651-700th position previously.
It was followed by DLSU in the 681-690th place, which also improved from its previous rank of 801-1000th.
Meanwhile, UST remained in the 801-850 bracket.
Joining the top four schools on the list was Cebu-based USC, which made it to the 1201-1400 bracket.
The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings, which featured 1,500 institutions in 104 locations, is the only ranking of its kind to place a strong emphasis on employability and sustainability.
