Ex-drug offender yields P102,000 shabu in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – A 37-year-old man is back in jail after police seized from him 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000 in a buy-bust operation in Purok Kawayan, Barangay 28 here on Tuesday, June 27. Police identified the suspect as Lyle Infante of Barangay 28.

(Photo courtesy of Bacolod City Police Office) Police Capt. Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 6, said that Infante was convicted for a drug offense in 2008. He was later released from jail after he served his sentence, according to Santillan. However, Santillan said police received a tip that Infante was back to his illegal activity, prompting them to launch a buy-bust operation. Police  confiscated from him the marked P1,000 bill, a digital weighing scale, P54,000 fake money, and P46. Aside from the illegal drugs, Santillan said they will also probe the recovered fake money from the suspect.
