Nearly 9,000 Muslims gathered in Manila to celebrate Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice on Wednesday, June 28.

According to the Manila Police District (MPD), around 2,000 Muslims went to the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park for Eid gatherings.

The event at the historic ground started years ago in an attempt to accommodate all of its members in the country.

The crowd waited for the 7 a.m. prayers, followed by the imam's (religious leader) sermon.
