In a press statement released on Wednesday, June 28, Cavite PPO Director Col. Christopher F. Olazo said they documented 724 cases from April 23 to June 20, a smaller figure compared to 824 cases recorded from February 23 to April 22.

The eight focus crimes included in the data are murder, homicide, robbery, theft, rape, physical injury, car theft, and motorcycle theft. Among the eight focus crimes, the three most prevalent cases over the past two months were theft, rape, and murder. The statement also said crime solution efficiency or the number of solved cases out of the total number of crime incidents handled, increased from 60.19 percent in April to 65.06 percent in June. Olazo assumed office in September 2022 and has intensified Cavite PPO’s anti-criminality interventions while strengthening police-community relations by collaborating with Local Government Units, advocacy support groups, and other stakeholders. The provincial police office said support from Cavite Gov. Jonvic C. Remulla and other local chief executives has helped them fight crime and catch lawbreakers.
