Bohol governor condemns Dane’s murder


CEBU CITY – Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado condemned the killing of a Danish national in Panglao town, Bohol on Tuesday afternoon, June 27.

Aumentado has instructed the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the assailants of Kristian Laurssen who was driving a motorcycle when he was attacked past 2 p.m.

Police said the victim sustained a bullet wound in the head.

“I strongly condemn the attack. An attack on anyone will never be justifiable. I have instructed our police to investigate this incident thoroughly and solve the crime by identifying and arresting the perpetrators,” Aumentado said.

Police said the victim had just come from his house in Danao, Bohol when he was waylaid.

Lawmen rushed to the area after receiving the shooting alarm and found the victim slumped on the ground a few meters from his motorcycle.

A spent shell for a .45 caliber pistol was recovered in the crime scene, police said.

Emergency responders brought the victim to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City, Bohol where he was declared dead.
