BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – Police have arrested a man who pretended to be a businessman and claimed to be a modeling manager after he allegedly took advantage and stole money and raped an aspiring model in this city on Tuesday evening, June 27.
The Biñan City police identified the suspect as Raymond Paguiragan, a resident of this city who allegedly picked up the victim at Centra Mall here.
According to the statement of the victim, she met the suspect and agreed to pick her up at the mall after introducing himself as a businessman whose business is engaging with commercial modeling.
According to the victim, the suspect told her that he is currently recruiting models and promising earnings as much as P100,000 in two days.
She was convinced to board the suspect’s vehicle where she was sexually assaulted by grabbing her in the neck and threatening to kill her if she resisted.
The victim was shocked and subsequently was taken to a motel where she was repeatedly raped and robbed of her personal items and cell phone.
Also, the victim added that the suspect took her online account and forcibly transferred her money into the suspect’s account amounting to P195,000.
After the incident, they left the motel and the suspect dropped her on the national highway in Santa Rosa City, this province.
The victim said she hurriedly sought help with the Biñan City Police Station, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect in his residence in Barangay Tubigan here at 11:30 p.m.
