Police seize P348,000 shabu, marijuana in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police arrested seven suspected drug pushers and shabu and marijuana worth P348,000 were seized in a week-long anti-drug campaign in the Cordillera region from June 18 to 24. The Police Regional Office-Cordillera identified the suspects as Jerry Pambid, 32, a high-value individual; Joel Tiberio, 52, HVI; Enrique Lucena, 37, street-level individual; Renato Corona, 57, SLI; Jerold Valdez, 30, HVI; Randy Paraan, 38, and Benac Gonnawa, 29, HVI. Suspects yielded 51.2 grams of suspected shabu and 3.37 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops. The Baguio City Police Office arrested six suspects while the Kalinga Police Provincial Office apprehended one. Suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to arresting units while charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.
