Paolo Contis reveals effort to reach out to Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon

Paolo Contis tried to connect with both Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon after he was tasked to host "Eat Bulaga." In "The Boobay and Tekla Show," Paolo shared why he had to do so. "Importante na makapagsintabi ako... letting them know that I never meant to disrespect (them)," he said. Paolo reached out to Vic through Pauleen Luna. He sent a text message to Joey, whom he described as his "kumpare." "Sa akin importante lang na alam niya (Joey) kung ano yung nasa puso ko regardless kung hindi siya nag-reply or not. Alam kong may kaibigan akong nakausap niya at nalaman ko na somehow okay siya du'n. Alam niyang trabaho lang. Kumbaga para sa akin, at least, habang nag-tatrabaho ka alam mong wala kang (natatapakan)." It's the main reason why he is not bothered by the continuing attacks against him. "Kasi yung mga kinauukulan alam nila kung ano yung nasa puso ko. So para sa akin, everything else, background noise lang yan." Asked if he thinks all is well between him and TVJ, Paolo answered: "I don't see any reason, on a personal level bakit kami hindi magiging okay kasi wala naman kaming ginagawa para i-disrepect sila." "Katulad nga ng sinabi ko, nagpasintabi ako. But of course, naniniwala ako na sana dumating yung araw na makapag-usap-usap kami ng personal para, siyempre, ako, I would love to work with Tito, Vic, and Joey. Gustong-gusto ko yun. Maliit ang showbiz, nire-respeto namin sila. Alam nila na hindi namin sila mapapalitan. Kumbaga kami ay nagpatuloy lang naman para magtuloy-tuloy yung work ng mga tao, yung show. And I belive they're smart, they're professional na alam nila na trabaho lang yung sa amin, walang personalan."
