New Batangas police chief assumes office

BATANGAS CITY - Police Col. Samson Belmonte assumed as new Batangas Police Provincial Office (PPO) chief in a turnover ceremony on Tuesday, June 27, in Camp Gen. Miguel Malvar here.

The ceremony was presided over by acting Police Regional Office (PRO) 4-A chief of regional staff Police Col. Mariano Rodriguez. Belmonte replaced Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez. De Chavez thanked the men and women of Batangas PPO for supporting his stint. Belmonte thanked officers of the higher headquarters for the chance to lead the Batangas police and said that he will do his best to make the Batangas PPO the best police provincial office in the country. “Allow me to serve Batangas PPO with all of my capacity. Let us show the community the true meaning of 'Serbisyong Nagkakaisa,'" Belmonte said.
