Nambatac, Pogoy ink contract extensions

Rain or Shine guard Rey Nambatac and TNT spitfire RR Pogoy were rewarded with separate contract extensions from their respective teams on Tuesday, June 27.

Nambatac inked a two-year agreement which makes him an Elasto Painter up to 2026 after previously signing a three-year maximum for the squad that drafted him seventh overall in 2017.
The former Letran standout averaged 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists for Rain or Shine which missed the playoffs in the Governors' Cup.
Pogoy, meanwhile, will stay with the Tropang Giga for three more years after a fruitful title run with the team that dethroned Barangay Ginebra in the season-ending conference. He tallied 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists to become one of TNT's leading stars.
