Ilagan, Cauayan declared drug-free cities

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The cities of Ilagan and Cauayan in the province of Isabela have been declared as the first two drug-cleared cities in the country. This was revealed during the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug-Clearing (ROCBDC) deliberation chaired by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 2 Director Levi Ortiz at the Carmelita Hotel and Restaurant here on Tuesday, June 27. In addition, the municipalities of Tumauini, Isabela, Rizal, and Tuao in Cagayan and Barangays Centro 12 and Pallua Sur here were also declared drug-cleared municipalities and barangays during the meeting. Meanwhile, the 1st Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company unveiled its drug-free workplace signage during a simple ceremony in Camp Tirso H. Gador here.
