"Magiging libre siya sa mga mahihirap (It will be free for the poor). The government will not buy for everyone anymore," he said in an ambush interview at Philippine General Hospital in Manila. Those who could avail themselves of the vaccine can acquire them from private organizations, but the indigent can be assured that their vaccines will still be free. On June 26, the health chief expressed his approval of easing the country's Covid-19 public health emergency as the number of recorded cases continues to decline.
