Blackwater sinks Lorraine sailors in friendly game

Blackwater dumped the visiting sailors from French frigate Lorraine, 83-61, in a friendly match to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the France-Philippines relations on Tuesday, June 27, at Paco Arena in Manila. *Blackwater Bossing and French Frigate Lorraine play an exhibition basketball game at Paco Arena in Manila on Tuesday, June 27.*


The Bossing unleashed their might right from the get-go, unloading a 12-0 run in the first quarter before holding off the sailors' assault that was highlighted by a halfcourt shot at the break. The French team was able to cut the deficit 53-47, but that proved to be the closest the visitors could muster after Blackwater retaliated with an 8-0 counter to close out the third frame at 61-49. Among the attendees were students from the French International School Manila, the Filipino-French community, and Bossing team owner Dioceldo Sy. The friendly match is part of Blackwater's preparations for the upcoming PBA Season 48.
