The party-list, together with Tanchuling Hospital, Gardenia Philippines, Children International, Unisoft, and other government and private agencies, conducted a medical and dental caravan at the San Jose Elementary School where residents of Barangays Canaway, Calbayog, and San Roque affected by Mayon were temporarily housed. Ako-Bicol Rep. Jil Bongalon said that aside from the rural areas where they are conducting the Tarabangan Caravan, they will also visit evacuation centers for Mayon evacuees. "Kung makikita natin dun sa Tarabangan Caravan na ginawa natin dun sa munisipyo ng Manito, sa Camalig, but right now we see that there is a necessity na gawin ito sa mga evacuation centers. So basically dadalhin lang natin dito ‘yung mga kailangan nilang medical assistance dahil alam naman natin na restricted ang kanilang movements, pati na ang kanilang resources, so might as well na ‘yung mga missions natin dadalhin natin sa lahat ng evacuation centers (We have brought the Tarabangan Caravan to the municipalities of Manito and Camalig but right now we see that there is a need to conduct these in evacuation centers. We will bring to them the needed medical assistance through medical missions because their movements and resources are restricted),” Bongalon said. Aside from the free medical services, medicines, and vitamins, Ako Bicol also provided free haircut, food and non-food items, massage, and recruitment for local jobs. Tarabangan Caravan is a project of Ako Bicol through its chairman and founder Rep. Zaldy Co that aims to bring government services and provide assistance to Bicolanos living in the remote areas of the region. "Hindi lang po ito dito nagtatapos sa Malilipot kasi on July 11, meron naman tayo sa bayan ng Daraga (Tarabangan Caravan will also be held in Daraga on July 11)," Bongalon said.
