CEBU CITY – The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) on Monday, June 26, awarded seven personnel for their “exemplary performance in their duties and responsibilities.”
POLICE Corporal Christy Rose Catid of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division is one of the six police officers that the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas awarded last Monday, June 26. (PRO-7) Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin led the awarding ceremony during the Monday traditional flag-raising ceremony in Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr. Leading the awardees were Chief Master Sgt. Floressa Pineda and Police Corporal Christy Rose Catid of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division. Pineda and Catid received the PNP Relations Medal or Medalya Ng Ugnayang Pampulisya for their meritorious achievement in the field of police relations. The two police officers were cited for their roles in the successful conduct of various activities which aimed to support women in their economic endeavors, assist children in orphanages, and provide care for elderly in residential homes. A Medal of Merit or the Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Police Capt. Jade Basingao and Police Corporal Zacherie Dado of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-7. The awards were given to Basingao and Dado for the successful implementation of warrant of arrest against a national level most wanted person. This award was also given to Police Capt. Tryss Galvan III and Police Patrolman John Lio Nocos of the Talisay City Police Station for the arrest of a high-value individual during a buy-bust operation. The successful anti-drug operation led to the seizure of P6.8-million worth of suspected shabu.
