P1.5-M marijuana hashish seized from aircon technician in Cagayan

IGUIG, Cagayan – An aircon technician was arrested after he yielded one gram of shabu and marijuana hashish worth P1.5 million during a buy-bust operation on Sampaguita St. in Barangay Ajat here on Monday, June 26. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 2 Cagayan Provincial Office, police, and other law enforcement units carried out the operation that resulted into the arrest of the subject identified as Romel Parallag Turingan, 29. Turingan allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing one gram of shabu with an estimated market value of P6,800 to one of the operatives who posed as buyer. Confiscated from the drug pusher were a red plastic bag containing nine suspected marijuana hashish in brick form weighing more or less 600 grams with an estimated market value of P1.5 million and 100 grams of dried marijuana leaves in brick form with estimated market value of P12,000. The raiding teams also found two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing one gram of shabu with an estimated market value of P6,800, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.
