Japan's InfiniVAN, Inc. has stepped up its investments in the country by another $200 million and powered the 200 Gigabit per second (GBPS) Connectivity Facility for the Super App of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The Connectivity Facility was formally inaugurated on June 23 at the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Quezon City.
It's a "more efficient and secure connectivity, unlike other DICT connectivity projects costing millions with improper monitoring and are unsecured", according to the CICC statement issued Monday, June 26.
Its new standard also allows maximum utilization of bandwidth, according to DICT Secretary Atty. Ivan John Uy. And its secure connectivity reduces the risk of hacking and malware attacks.
To reduce malware attacks on government infrastructure, thr CICC partnered with Infinivan according to CICC Executive Director Alexander K. Ramos.
Infinivan President Shigeki Nakahara confirmed the company's additional $200 million investments in the Philippines and its introduction of a higher standard of connectivity.
“We are honored to serve the technology arm of the country in boosting its capacities and potentials,” he underscored.
The partnership will pave the way "for and accessibility nationwide, especially the far-flung areas to provide connection like no other,” Nakahara added.
Congress granted InfiniVAN, Inc. with the franchise to operate as a telecommunication company under R.A. 10898.
It provides a business Internet user experience at par with global standards, delivered via an end-to-end Fiber Optic Network Infrastructure.
