'Ganda ng attitude niya!:' 'CIA with BA' hosts laud complainee who got help from the show
FROM LEFT: Sibling senators Pia Cayetano and Alan Peter Cayetano; and King of Talk Boy Abunda
‘CIA with BA’ hosts Senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, and Boy Abunda couldn’t help but praise Nanay Feliza — a complainee who still got help and assistance from the show — for her great attitude. On Sunday, June 25, the public service program re-aired the episode wherein two women (Soledad and Margie) sought help and advice about Nanay Feliza taking care of her son (Alvin) who was causing disturbances in the neighborhood. Alvin, however – as claimed by Nanay Feliza – has a mental condition. But more than coming to the show as victims, Soledad and Margie seemed to care for the welfare of the elderly, Alvin, and the neighborhood. At the end of the segment, Nanay Feliza was convinced to take her son to a mental health expert and also to have herself checked by a health expert since she’s already 72. “What she’s been through, tapos steady lang siya… ‘kahit ‘di ako kumain, makakain lang ‘yung anak ko, intindihin nila, may sakit ang anak ko!’” said Senator Pia. “Ganda ng attitude niya. Parang ‘yung mundo, tinapon lahat sa kanya pero ‘basta’t maghahanapbuhay ako, eto ako, mag-iipon ako ng extra [money],” said Senator Alan. “Pero akala mo naman ‘yung extra niya, savings na malaki… but pambili lang ng bigas at kaunting ulam, pinakasimpleng ulam for one or two more days then wala na naman, but ‘yung attitude niya ‘di ba, talagang fighting attitude. So God bless her.” As for Abunda, the main lesson is to “count your blessings.” “Let’s count our blessings. At ‘pag nagkaroon tayo ng pagkakataong tumulong, to share, do it,” the award-winning talk show host added. ‘CIA with BA’ is the continuation of Senator Rene Cayetano’s legacy. He is the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program ‘Compañero y Compañera,’ which aired from 1997 to 2001. ‘CIA with BA,’ hosted by Alan, Pia, and Boy, airs every Sunday at 11:30 p.m. on GMA7.
