Ex-kagawad, brother nabbed in Negros drug sting

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A former barangay official and her younger brother were arrested by police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Galicia, Ilog, Negros Occidental on Friday, June 23.

(Photo courtesy of Ilog Municipal Police Station) Ilog police chief Major Joseph Partidas identified the subjects as Sally Bandolos, 53, former kagawad of Barangay Dancalan, and her brother Carlos dela Cruz, 46, of Barangay Bocana. Policemen seized from them P6,834 worth of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, P1,282 cash, and a motorcycle. Partidas said the siblings are street-level individuals who were under monitoring. They were included in the drugs watchlist of the police station, he added. He said that Dela Cruz was previously arrested for a drug offense and was later placed under probation. Partidas said that Dela Cruz will be charged for sale of dangerous drugs while Bandolos will face charges for illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
