Drunk man nabbed for brandishing gun, terrorizing neigborhood in QC
An alleged drunk man was collared by Quezon City Police District (QCPD) personnel for carrying and brandishing a gun causing fear among residents in Barangay Apolonio Samson,  in the city on Sunday, June 25.
Lt. Col. Romil Avenido, QCPD La Loma Station (PS 1) commander, identified the suspect as Joseph Valenzuela, 35, of Gitna St., Kaingin Bukid, Brgy. Apolonio Samson, Quezon City. He was collared for brandishing a handgun in public on Sunday.
PS 1 said it received a phone call from a concerned citizen at around 1 p.m., reporting about an alleged drunk man who was armed with a gun long Kanluran St., Kaingin Bukid, Brgy. Apolonio Samson, Quezon City.Â
The police station deployed personnel to the area who spotted Valenzuela dancing while holding his firearm.
They immediately arrested the suspect and recovered from him a cal. 38 revolver loaded with two bullets.
He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.Â
