House Committee on Accounts Chairperson and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez just became the godmother to 48 newlyweds in Parañaque City. This, after Romualdez attended last Saturday, June 24 the "63rd Pa-Wedding ni Tambunting" at SM City Bicutan, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City. The event took place at the mall's activity area in the ground floor. In her message, Romualdez congratulated the couples who tied the knot in the mass ceremony and wished them a long and happy marriage. She underscored that the "formula to forever" consists of respect, caring for each other, and keeping the flames of love burning. The House leader also said she was honored to be part of this important milestone in the lives of the 48 couples. Parañaque City 2nd district Rep. Gus Tambunting; his wife, former Rep. Joy Myra Tambunting; and Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez also attended the happy occasion. The "Pa-Wedding ni Tambunting" is a project started by Rep. Tambunting when he was a councilor. The mass wedding is usually held on the last Saturday of every month. The objective of the event is to help couples in financial distress, especially those who have been living together for a long time without a valid marriage, to tie the knot.
