CAVITE – A security guard was arrested for allegedly stealing computers from an offshore business process outsourcing and contact center company in Bacoor City on Sunday, June 25.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspect as Darwin B. Onabia, 27 years old.

Initial investigation showed the CCTV operator of the company caught Onabia carting away two mini desktop computers from the production floor and hiding them inside his jacket.

The suspect reportedly went to his locker to secure the units which have a total worth of P66,000.

The CCTV operator alerted two other security guards who acted as arresting officers and turned over the suspect and the pieces of evidence to the Bacoor City Police Station (CPS).

The suspect is now under the custody of Bacoor CPS and is facing a qualified theft charge.
