The affected families consisting of 57 individuals were evacuated to safer grounds. Ramil Ayuman, who serves as Mayor Michael Rama’s assistant for special projects, said canned goods and rice were distributed to affected families. No one was injured when the landslide occurred past 7 a.m. Nine other houses are also in danger if soil movement continues in the area, Ayuman said After the affected families were evacuated, the area was cordoned off to prevent untoward incidents from happening, Ayuman said.
