CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A reported on Sunday, June 25, the arrest of 1,828 wanted persons in the Region 4-A or the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) area from April 23 to June 22.
PRO 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces of those apprehended, 487 are most wanted persons and 1,341 are other most wanted persons.
Gaces said that of the 487 most wanted individuals, 127 of them are regional level most wanted while 170 are provincial level most wanted.
He lauded operating units for their accomplishments.
“These accomplishments were made possible by the efforts of the hardworking personnel of PRO-Calabarzon and other support units in accordance with the implementation of the Chief PNP’s ‘5-Focused Agenda’ which focuses on the aggressive and honest law enforcement operation,” Gaces said.
Arrested suspects were involved in serious crimes such as murder, homicide, rape, theft, robbery, kidnapping, and other special laws, Gaces said.
Twenty-eight were murder and 66 were rape suspects who have long evaded capture and were considered the region's most wanted, Gaces added.
“Through meticulous investigations, relentless pursuit, and collaborative efforts, PRO-Calabarzon has made significant breakthroughs in bringing notorious criminals to justice by tirelessly tracking down and apprehending individuals who posed significant threats to the security of our communities,” Gaces said.
