P358,000 shabu seized in Laguna drug sting


CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna – Two drug pushers were arrested and suspected shabu valued at P358,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation in San Pedro City, this province, on Saturday, June 24.

Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, Laguna police director, in a report to Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, identified the suspects as alias “Tata,” a high-value individual, of San Pedro City, and alias “Esmael,” of Quiapo, Manila.

Police Lt. Col. Rolly Liegen, San Pedro City police chief, said the suspects were nabbed by the City Drug Enforcement Unit at 8:33 p.m. in Barangay Pacita 1.

The suspects yielded  12 plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated weight of 52 grams valued at P358,800 and the marked money.

They are in the custody of the San Pedro City police and face charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Confiscated evidence will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory for forensic examination.
