Troy Rosario led the way with 24 points as the Bossing bounced back from a heartbreaking 80-81 loss against the Barangay Ginebra Kings in their last game to pick up their fourth win in seven games and just before head coach Jeff Cariaso formally joins the team next week.

The veteran forward anchored a tough defensive stand for the Bossing who then held off a blistering 9-0 Fuel Masters to rise from the dead and turn an 11-point deficit to just two, 90-92, after Sean Manganti free throw with 50 seconds left.

Tempers even flared towards the end of that run as Rosario shoved Manganti while going for the loose ball. The Fuel Masters forward retaliated and immediately confronted Rosario before cooler heads prevailed.

Phoenix actually had the chance to tie the game in its final possession but Manganti threw a bad pass in the drawn alley-oop play, resulting in the fatal turnover.

Rosario, who dropped 16 of his total in the first half, got ample support from his guards Baser Amer, Jvee Casio and Mike Ayonayon who all converted some crucial baskets down the stretch that allowed Blackwater to seize a double-digit advantage.

All three finished with 13 points.

Manganti paced Phoenix with 18 points while Tyler Tio and Reden Celda added 15 apiece in a losing effort that saw them drop to a 3-4 record in the standings.
