Silent Sanctuary denies 'homophobic actions' during QC Pride event

After getting dropped from the line of performers during the "Love Laban sa QC" pride event at the Quezon City Circle on June 24, OPM band Silent Sanctuary released an official statement denying the allegations of "homophobic actions." On their official Facebook account, the band explained that they respected the members of the LGBTQIA+ community as they shared the stage, backstage, and dressing room during their past events. The statement in full: "We are deeply saddened with all the allegations thrown at us currently. Being in the performing arts industry, we respect all forms of gender preferences and identity. "We have shared the stage, backstage, and dressing room with many who represent the lgbtq+ community and had no qualms about it for any matter." "We are really looking forward to being part of your celebration but judgement has been passed out without giving us equal opportunity to defend ourselves. One man's angle does not paint the whole story of the bigger picture. Regardless, we still wish everyone a successful #PrideMarch2023 ðŸŒˆ" Despite negative comments, some fans supported the group and told them to move on. Silent Sanctuary was a rock band formed in 2001. They are known for their hit songs "Kundiman," "Rebound," "Kismet," "Bumalik Ka Na Sa'kin," and more.
