P13.7-M shabu seized in Bohol

CEBU CITY – Packs of suspected shabu worth P13.7 million were seized in a buy-bust-operation in Barangay Danao, Panglao town, Bohol on Friday night, June 23. The illegal drugs were seized from Roel Borja, 25, a resident of the barangay. The Drug Enforcement Unit of the Panglao Police Station headed by Major Andie Corpus seized 20 large packs of suspected shabu weighing 2,025 grams from the suspect. (Contributed photo) The suspect had been monitored for the past weeks due to reports of his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities. Follow-up investigation will be conducted to determine where the suspect got his supply of illegal drugs, police said. Panglao Mayor Edgardo Arcay was on hand to witness the inventory of the confiscated shabu. “The intensified campaign against any forms of criminality, specifically the campaign against illegal drugs in our town, will continue,” the Panglao police said.
