Earthquakes jolt Occidental Mindoro, Surigao Del Norte, Batangas: Phivolcs
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit Occidental Mindoro at 12:03 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) advised.

Its depth measured 003 kilometers (km) at 13.51°N, 120.79°E - 010 km N 40° E of Abra De Ilog. Intensity IV was felt in Puerto Galera and Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, said the agency. Intensity III was recorded in San Teodoro, Occidental Mindoro, while intensity II was felt in Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro; Baco, City of Calapan; Roxas, Oriental Mindoro; and Tingloy and Mabini, Batangas. Meanwhile, a magnitude 4.0 quake rocked Surigao Del Norte at 2:04 a.m.

A magnitude 4.3 quake also jolted Batangas at 3:11 a.m. with a depth of 095 km and a location of 13.70°N, 120.44°E - 026 km S 55° W of Calatagan. Intensity II was registered in Calatagan, Batangas. There is no expected damage or aftershocks in these provinces as per Phivolcs' advisory.
