Couple, man yield P149,000 shabu in Negros drug stings

BACOLOD CITY - Three persons, including a couple, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental that yielded P149,600 worth of suspected shabu.

In Himamaylan City, about 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000 were seized by police in Barangay Mambagaton on Thursday, June 22. Arrested was Renan Seban, 38, of Barangay Mambagaton. Recovered from the suspect were the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, and a hand grenade. In Silay City, a couple was arrested with seven grams ofÂ shabu worth P47,600 in Barangay Mambulac on Wednesday, June 21. Police identified the suspects as Gerardo Gelisanga, 32, of Barangay Pahanocoy here and his 22-year-old live-in partner from Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Gelisanga is a street-level individual while his live-in partner is a newly identified individual, according to the police.
