ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Regional Development Council (RDC) and the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) headed by Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe and Zamboanga Sibugay Gov. Ann Hofer held their quarterly meeting in Isabela City, Basilan on Friday, June 23.

During the meeting, the RDC approved the Inter/Intra Regional Priority Projects for the Zamboanga Peninsula and the release of the budget for the Carbon/Diki/Tampalan indigenous housing projects in Isabela City.
The meeting also discussed the Pestalotiopsis Leaf Fall disease, a plant infirmity which affected hundreds of hectares of rubber plantations in Basilan.
Among the projects discussed were the establishment of a quarantine facility in Zamboanga City for crops and other products and the Pang-Agraryong Tulay para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka Bridge project.
Dalipe, RDC chairperson, presided during the oath-taking ceremony of Department of Labor and Employment-Region 9 Director Alberto Gutib as co-chairperson of the Regional Social Development Committee-9.
The military and police presented their reports to the RPOC on their anti-insurgency and anti-terrorism drives.
