More indigent senior citizens get social pension in Parañaque
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of social pension to the third batch of indigent senior citizens from the city's District I on Friday, June 23.
Olivarez said the last batch, totaling 751 indigent senior citizens, received their social pension payout at Barangay Don Galo gym.
He said 374 indigent senior citizens from Barangay La Huerta and 377 from Barangay Don Galo received their social pension.
The mayor said the social pension given to indigent senior citizens in District 1 started on June 19 covering the first semester of 2023.
The distribution of social pension to indigent senior citizens in District II will start on Monday, June 26, and will end on July 3.
He said the city government recorded a total of 13,555 senior citizens in Districts1 and 2 who are set to receive their pension.
The city government scheduled the distribution of social pension to those who were not able to attend the payout on their scheduled date on July 4 at the Old Barangay San Dionisio gym for District 1 residents, while District 2 residents may claim their pension at Area I covered court in Fourth Estate Subdivision.
