Sen. Imee leads AICS payout in Bulacan

Sen. Imee Marcos led the distribution of assistance to residents in the province of Bulacan through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Thursday, June 22. The AICS distribution was started in Bulakan town where she was joined by Bulacan Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro, Bulakan Mayor Vergel C. Meneses, and Board Member Romina D. Fermin. The AICS is a program of the DSWD that aids citizens in the country who are in need of financial and material assistance, psychosocial intervention, and referral to other services. From Bulakan town, Marcos proceeded to Guiguinto Municipal Athletic and Cultural Center and also distributed cash assistance to 500 members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+), 500 indigents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).  Marcos received a warm welcome from Guiguinto Mayor Agatha Cruz, Bulacan 5th District Representative Ambrosio "Boy" Cruz Jr., and Guiguinto Vice Mayor Banjo Estrella with members of the Sangguniang Bayan. After the activity in Guiguinto, Marcos and the DSWD went to Calumpit town. Assisted by the local government in the town, they likewise gave P3,000 cash assistance from the DSWD to thousands of beneficiaries in the municipality. Aside from financial assistance, they also distributed Nutribuns and toys to the Calumpit kids. In April and May, Marcos visited Bulacan and also led in the distribution of financial assistance to more than 3,000 Bulakenyo beneficiaries from the Cities of Malolos and San Jose Del Monte, and in the municipalities of Bocaue and Hagonoy
