Drug suspect yields guns, ammunition in Silang, Cavite

CAVITE – Authorities arrested a drug suspect in Silang on Wednesday, June 21, who yielded not just illegal drugs but also guns and ammunition. The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspect as Ruel H. Bawalan, 49 years old. During the operation, authorities confiscated five plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” and a sachet of suspected marijuana. The police also seized from the suspect one shotgun, a .45 caliber handgun, a .38 caliber handgun, and ammunition. Photo from Cavite Police Provincial Office (MANILA BULLETIN)
Bawalan is now under the custody of the Silang Municipal Police Station (MPS). The pieces of evidence were turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.
