'Bolt cutter gang' members caught robbing a store in Cavite
CAVITE – Two men were arrested for robbing a store in Alfonso in the wee hours of Friday, June 23.
Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspects as Benjie Baldoza, 32, and Arllier Villanueva, 30, allegedly members of the "bolt cutter gang".
Alfonso Municipal Police Station (MPS) officers were patrolling the streets at 2:30 a.m. when they saw a motorcycle parked in front of a sari-sari store.
Upon closer inspection, they observed that the back rider of the motorcycle was in possession of a bolt cutter, prompting them to investigate further.

Confiscated from the apprehended suspects were two broken padlocks, a hand grenade, and a .38-caliber revolver with ammunition. The suspects are now under the custody of the MPS and are facing robbery charges.
