* The city government of Manila offered 12,000 job vacancies during the Mega Job Fair held in Tondo, Manila on Friday, June 23. The job fair was initiated by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Vice Mayor John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-Manila and partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), and DOLE NCR Manila Field Office (DOLE NCR-MFO). PESO-Manila invited high school graduates, technical-vocational and college graduates to the Mega Job Fair. The job fair was held at the Patricia Sports Complex on Carmen Street, Gagalangin, Tondo, which started at 9 a.m. and ended at 4 p.m. With almost 55 employers, PESO-Manila offered different positions for high school graduates, technical-vocational and college graduates. For high school graduates, some of the positions offered were maintenance technician, merchandiser, sales promoter, field credit investigator, welder, mechanic, and butler. For college or technical-vocational level, the positions offered were customer service assistant, production staff, IT technical support, account/sales executive, and junior and senior hairstylist. For college graduates, the positions offered were social media writer, accounting assistant, newswriter, business manager, pre-school and special education teacher, and web content administrator. Other participating government agencies were Manila Police District-Police Clearance unit, Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
