Trisha Tubu and Kate Santiago are set to leave the Adamson Lady Falcons and turn pro with new Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team Farm Fresh Foxies.
The development of their collegiate departure was made official on Thursday, June 22, when PVL listed on its website the names of Tubu, Santiago along with two other Adamson players under the Farm Fresh roster days before the Invitational Conference kick off.
The addition of the promising rookie and sophomore, who followed suit after the firing of their former head coach Jerry Yee, have yet to be announced by the Foxies on social media.
Yee’s exit from Adamson came a day after his signing with the new pro team.
Meanwhile, Tubu, who played in only one season for the collegiate team, impressed and emerged as the fifth-best scorer in the tourney.
Santiago, for her part, totaled 62.1 statistical points to finish eight in the MVP race.
Cklye Tagsip and libero Cae Lazo will also be joining the firepower of Tubu and Santiago in the Farm Fresh lineup which boasts the core of College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers in Gayle Pascual, Jade Gentapa and Cloanne Mondoñedo along with other collegiate players.
The veteran coach Yee, who was appointed as the University of the East Lady Warriors’ head tactician a day prior, led Adamson to its first Final Four appearance in almost a decade.
Although the Lady Falcons missed the finals by a mile against the National University Lady Bulldogs, the team finished in third place with a 10-4 record in the standings.
