Young people of the 80s and 90s probably never saw it coming.  He is, after all, regarded as one of the original stallions that the local entertainment industry has ever produced.  And so, without many of his fans doing an actual count, ever youthful and energetic actor, John Estrada, turned gold last week, with an extravagant birthday bash at the hip Kao Day and Night Club in Newport World Resorts, Pasay City. The party, which started at around 7:30 pm on a rainy Saturday night, ended at around 4am the following day.
Celebrity Party Mama, Lyn Inductivo, who organized the star-studded event says it was actually Coco Martin who chose the party date even if Estrada’s actual birthdate comes three days later on the 13^th. “Coco chose 10 para walang naka-set na shooting.  Coco anted to make sure that cast members of “Batang Quiapo” and “Ang Probinsyano” will be there to cheer up John on his birthday,” the party organizer shared.
Among the event’s highlights were the song numbers rendered by Richard Gomez, Randy Santiago and Ara Mina and the impromptu swing exhibition on the dance floor by Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and award-winning actress, Cherry Pie Picache. Richard Gomez and Coco Martin each served the celebrator a round  of fun roasting tagging him as “Mapagmahal, kasi lahat ay mahal,” hinting on Estrada’s “loving” nature.
As expected, loving members of the Basilan-born actor’s family were around to share in his milestone year, led by his wife Priscilla Meirelles and daughter, Anechka.  His children from his first wife, Janice de Belen: Ina, Moira, Kaila and Yuan, also made it to the occasion to greet dad a happy birthday. Among those who made the glittery event even more sprkly were ABS-CBN executives, Mark Lopez, Cory Vidanes, Lauren Dyogi and Deo Endrinal; Megastar Sharon Cuneta; government official Lucy Torres-Gomez; fellow movie stars, Julia Montes, Lorna Tolentino, Angel Aquino, Rowell Santiago, Bobot Mortiz, Macoy de Leon, Joseph Marco, Jake Vargas, Shaina Magdayao and Angelu de Leon.  Estrada’s golf buddies from Wack-Wack and Ayala Alabang were also on hand to join in the fun.
More than marking his golden year with a still flourishing career, Estrada also celebrated his being chosen as new face of EW Villa Medica Germany’s “Male Revive,” the latest stem cell technology especially designed for men.
