She thanked the national government for allocating the additional booster vaccines to frontline workers at the hospital. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Department of Health (DOH) launched the Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines on June 22 at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City. Under a DOH memorandum, the Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines will be administered as a third booster shot to people aged at least 18 belonging to priority groups healthcare workers (A1) and senior citizens (A2). They can get the Bivalent vaccine at least four to six months after getting their second booster shot. “With that, the DOH urges everyone, starting with our frontliners - health workers and the most vulnerable - our senior citizens, to strengthen their immunity against Covid-19 by getting these bivalent boosters by coordinating with our nearest hospitals and vaccination centers,” said Health Secretary Ted Herbosa.
