Drug pusher nabbed, P748,000 shabu seized in Tacloban

TACLOBAN CITY – Police arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu worth P748,000 in Barangay 95-A, Caibaan, here, recently. The suspect was identified as Albert Ortillo, 35. The Police Regional Office-8 (Eastern Visayas) commanded apprehending units for the high-value individual’s arrest. "The arrest of Albert Ortillo, alias ‘Montoy,’ proves the unparalleled commitment of our police operatives to crack down illegal activities in Eastern Visayas," it said. "Charges have been immediately filed against the arrested personality, which signifies that we are serious about bringing the law offenders to justice," PRO-8 added. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspect before the city prosecutor on Wednesday, June 21. Ortillo yielded five sachets and a knot-tied plastic of suspected shabu weighing a total of 110 grams. Suspect is under the custody of the Tacloban Police Station 2.
