All Wattah Wattah Festival activities rescheduled to next week - Mayor Francis


San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced on Thursday, June 22, that all scheduled activities in relation to the Wattah Wattah Festival on Saturday, June 24, will be held next week starting June 26 due to the death of incumbent San Juan City Vice Mayor Warren Villa.

Zamora made the announcement on his official Facebook page and told the public to wait for further announcements regarding the city's calendar of activities.

On June 19, the mayor issued Executive Order No. 151, Series of 2023 declaring a week-long city-wide mourning period to honor Villa who died of natural causes on Father's Day, June 18. He was  52.

The order also indicated that the mourning period will be from Monday, June 19, to Sunday, June 25.

The city government said the EO gives the city and its citizens time to honor the late vice mayor.
