4-year-old boy falls, drowns in construction pit in Trece Martires

CAVITE – A four-year-old boy fell and drowned in a construction pit in Trece Martires City on Wednesday, June 21. Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the victim as John Peter F. Corbol. Trece Martires City Police Station (CPS) chief Lt. Col. Jonathan A. Asnan told the Manila Bulletin that Corbol was playing with other children near a construction site for a covered court in Barangay Hugo Perez. The victim reportedly fell into a pit around four to five feet deep. A concerned citizen saw the victim in the pit with no sign of life and immediately sought help from barangay officials. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (MANILA BULLETIN)
