Over P400K shabu seized in Pasig buy-bust

A high-value individual (HVI) in possession of over P400,000 worth of illegal drugs was arrested by operatives of the Eastern Police District (EPD) in a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Tuesday evening, June 20. EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta identified the suspect as Adrian Dela Cruz, alias “Moy,” 25. He was listed as an HVI according to the police’s drug watchlist. Police conducted surveillance activities in cooperation with intelligence officers from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) prior to the buy-bust operation. The suspect was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on M. Concepcion Avenue in Barangay San Joaquin, Pasig City. Around 70 grams of alleged shabu, with a standard drug price of P476,000, were seized from Dela Cruz. The suspect was detained at the Pasig City Police Station’s custodial facility. He is facing charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs according to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or Republic Act 9165.
