In a couple of tweets, the envoy shared photos of him having pichi-pichi, a Filipino dessert made from steamed cassava balls mixed with sugar. It is also sometimes topped with cheese, coconut, or honey.
“Partaking another Filipino snack —pichi-pichi — for #MeriendaNiLuc,” he wrote.
“Glad to finally try this coconut-topped, sweet Pinoy delight. The perfect treat to satisfy afternoon cravings and bring a taste of (Philippines) to snack time,” Veron added.
He also posted photos of himself eating the pichi-pichi with some officemates in what looks to be a lounge area.

“Indulging in the delectable delight of #Chocnut, a Filipino treat that tantalizes the taste buds with its perfect blend of chocolate and peanuts!,” Veron said.
He even shared a trivia: “Did you know that Chocnut is available in some Filipino stores in the EU? #MeriendaNiLuc.”
