Harley-Davidson of Manila wraps up the first half of 2023 with a roar as they mark their 10th anniversary since they opened their doors and welcomed riders, freedom seekers and fans of the most iconic Milwaukee-based motorcycle brand, in EDSA Greenhills, as the first authorized H-D dealership established in the country. To celebrate this momentous occasion, H-D of Manila is bringing together its customers and Harley owners to recognize their contribution in keeping the dealership rolling through the years, including the riding community, in Subic Bay Boardwalk on June 24-25 for an epic gathering. It will be an exhilarating two-day event filled with live music, customer awards, bike displays, dealer test rides, riding skills exhibition, food and drinks, plus and impressive fireworks display on the night of the 24th to cap off the day’s festivities. H-D of Manila has much to celebrate this year; a decade of fulfilling the dream of personal freedom and the promise of lifetime ownership experience, which coincides with the commemoration of Harley-Davidson’s 120 years of pride and legacy. The dealership also celebrates its local riding club, the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Manila Chapter’s 10th year, founded in 2013. Mr. Francis Jonathan C. Ang, President of American Motorcycles, Inc. A decade of milestones

In its second year of operations, H-D of Manila has achieved great success when it received the Asia emerging markets (AEM) Best Performance Growth Award in 2015, a notable achievement for the dealerships success in reaching new heights. The group’s performance was driven by the outstanding sales of the Street Family models that came in two variants: the Street XG750 and XG500, both launched in 2015. It was the ideal step-in to the Harley-Davidson cult, especially for a new rider entering the big bike segment. It also generated a good market base for future upgrades with bikes that are lightweight, nimble, and easy to learn, all at an affordable price point.
The dealership continued to earn accolades when it bagged the most coveted and prestigious Dealer of the Year Award in 2016, a nod to excellence in overall dealership operations exemplified in areas such as business growth, customer experience, marketing/events, and training of its management and staff, in their early infancy besting long-standing dealers in the AEM region. After two consecutive years of setting milestones and strong business performance, the group received approval from AEM to open a second branch, becoming the third authorized Harley-Davidson dealership operating in the Philippines. In May 2017, Harley-Davidson of Manila officially opened its BGC branch at the Shangri-La at the Fort, business district, catering to the contemporary and fresh lifestyle of young professionals, which Harley wants to attract. H-D of Manila BGC also has a strong track record, having won the 2021 Best MC (Motorcycle) Performance award in the Philippine Dealers Award last year.

2023 is a banner year of H-D of Manila as it also celebrates HOG Manila Chapter’s 10th anniversary that coincides with the 40th founding year of Harley Owners Group. HOG is the official sponsored riding club of Harley-Davidson for owners as part of the brand’s community-building efforts. The HOG Manila Chapter was also recognized by the AEM after being awarded the 2022 Chapter of the Year after competing with more than 30 chapters from 10 countries in the region. The competition ran from July 1 to December 31, 2022, and each participating chapter was required to submit their activities, including rides, partnerships, and CSR, which earned them points at the end of each month. True to its core “Ride and Have Fun,” HOG Manila Chapter and H-D of Manila will kick off the celebration with a ride from the Greenhills showroom to HOG Manila Eco Park in Daang Kalikasan Mangatarem, Pangasinan on June 23rd for a tree planting activity as part of the group’s program PH ride with Purpose that advocates responsible motorcycle riding and moto tourism to help boost the local economy. “All riders, regardless of brand and engine displacements are welcome to join PH Ride with Purpose on June 24 and 25 at the Subic Bay Boardwalk,” said HOG Manila Chapter Director, Yen Roxas. A registration fee of P1,000 entitles participants to a food voucher worth P300 plus two drinks. The rest of the proceeds will go to the funding of HOG Manila’s CSR activities.
