Western Visayas' most wanted caught in Makati

ILOILO CITY – The most wanted man in Western Visayas region was apprehended in Makati City on Thursday, June 1.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 identified the suspect as Elfren “Pedoy” Bagatnan of Ajuy town, Iloilo province. The 31-year-old who is believed to be the leader of gun-for-hire group in Iloilo was arrested by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Drug Enforcement Unit, Makati Police Station-Guadalupe Nuevo sub-station, Makati police station, PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit, Ajuy Municipal Police Station, Barotac Viejo Municipal Police Station, and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company. Bagatnan was arrested on warrants for murder issued by Judge Oscar Sancho Billena of Regional Trial Court (RTC)-Branch 66. The hierarchy of PRO-6 lauded the police operatives for catching the region’s most wanted criminal. "Dedication paid off for these operatives who caught the leader of the Bagatnan Gun-for-Hire Criminal Gang. This will serve as a stern warning to other wanted persons still at large,” said Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, acting PRO-6 director.
